MINISTRY WITH CHILDREN (ages 0 to 5th grade)
The First Baptist Church of Redlands seeks to prepare our children for a life-long journey of following Jesus.
 
SUNDAY MORNING FALL THROUGH SPRING SCHEDULE FOR CHILDREN (September 11, 2011 - June 10, 2012)
All classes take place in the Education Building except for Carol Choir

Bible and Breakfast (ages 4–2nd grade)
A special time for children to learn about the love of Jesus and the importance of expressing his love to others through worship, bible stories, and singing. A light breakfast is served. Children meet during the 8:30 a.m. service and are picked up immediately following the service. Arts & Crafts Room (top floor)

CHILDREN’S PROGRAM (ages 4–5th Grade)
Growing Through the Wonders of Narnia. Children will Connect Grow & Serve as they travel through the marvelous world of C. S. Lewis’ Narnia. Age appropriate lessons will incorporate themes found throughout The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.  Our children will learn and integrate in their lives the value of faith, integrity, hospitality, creativity, courage, and love as they partake on this wonderful journey together. Family Nights on the 2nd Thursday of every month (Birthday Nights)
Spend quality time with your family as well as connect with others on the 2nd Thursday of every month and have fun through games and service. Those celebrating their birthdays for the month receive a complimentary meal on this night. Please contact Deena Barwick for more information.  Arts & Crafts Room (top floor) and other locations.

6:45 p.m.–7:45 p.m.
Thursday Night Youth Creation Co-op: (6th-12th grades). Start off with a home cooked dinner with the church family. Then youth have the opportunity to delve more deeply into the ideas first presented in Sunday School. Using a variety of art and musical formats, youth will learn to utilize the mediums being taught to unpack, question, rethink, and otherwise delve into theological concepts, liturgical themes, and other questions of faith. Pastor’s Study: Primer for God’s People: An Introduction to the New Testament. Whether you are just learning about Christianity or have been a Christian all your life, this series will provide an enriching experience for everyone. The study will focus on the historical back ground, structure, purpose, content and importance of each book in the New Testament. Chapel

The Parents Class: "Connecting with Other Parents for the Journey"
Geared
for parents with young children, those expecting your little bambino to arrive in the near future, or those wanting to know more about parenting issues. Connect Grow & Serve with others who are in a similar season of life. This season, using Andy Griffith of Mayberry DVD Bible Study series, parents will explore how to teach different ages of children tough character traits; such as: peace, mercy, service, commitment, etc. After watching a Mayberry episode, there will be a focus scripture with discussion questions to "start and energize the conversations." OTHER ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN

bullet pointOpportunities to participate in worship services through serving in the children’s choirs, as acolytes, and in special times of sharing.
bullet point Super Saturdays for children are held throughout the year to provide our children with opportunities to be involved in missions while also particiapting in crafts and games.
bullet point Monthly Family Movie Nights. On the 1st Saturday of every month from October through May. Check the Events page for current movies.
