The First Baptist Church of Redlands seeks to prepare our children for a life-long journey of following Jesus. Caring for children and youth is a top priority. We want the children under our care to personally experience God's love for them and to know that God wants their best in all aspects of their lives.

Our childcare volunteers are:

Those working with children and youth are required to complete a thorough screening process that includes multiple reference checks and approval by our Christian Education Commission.

In conjunction with the Christian Education Commission, the church implements ongoing training for those serving with our children and youth. In addition, all primary volunteers leading our programs are CPR and First Aid certified through the American Red Cross.

Every children's program has a minimum of two screened volunteers at all times. In addition, the church staff members are on the grounds visiting the various classes during program hours.

NOTE: Our 9 a.m. Sunday School classes and mid-week programs are on break for the summer and will restart on Sept. 13, 2015. However, we still provide childcare and classes for children during the 10:15 a.m. Sunday worship service. Please join us!
We offer classes for all ages:

Up to 24 months
meets in the Nursery Room
Sundays: 10–11:30 a.m.

Ages 2-3
meets in the Toddler Room
Sundays: 10–11:30 a.m.

Toddlers hear stories from the Bible told simply for their young minds, then participate in an activity to reinforce the idea.

God's Kids

Age 4 to second grade
meets in the Children's Chapel
Sundays: 10–11:30 a.m.

Summer Celebration: Throughout the summer God’s Kids will be exploring what it means to be a member of God’s family. There will be weekly lessons and activities to help the children develop a confidence in who they are as followers. Some of the lessons include: "I am loved," "I don't have to see to believe," "I am heard," and "I can join God’s family."

Junior Disciples

Third to fifth grades
meets in the Lounge
Sundays: 10:15–11:30 a.m.

The Junior Disciples will be excused during the worship service to meet in the Lounge where a teacher will present one of the following discipleship topics: Scripture (Bibles), prayer, baptism, sermon, worship, communion, missions, tithing, acolytes, and hospitality. Once they learn about a topic, JDs will then practice it in a later worship service.
