A Lenten series on Thursday nights after the Church Dinner.
11:00 a.m. in Judson Hall
$6.00 for lunch
Program: Spiritual Growth
Music: Mary Dee Hodson, Dulcimer
Speaker: Lesley Walpus, Director Women's Ministries at Hillside Community Church
“Gifted” is the best word to describe Lesley’s teaching. She is a passionate speaker, committed to following
Jesus and teaching God’s Word. With her warm, open and down to earth style, she has a natural ability to mix humor with
practical examples that lead the listener to understanding how a passage written many years ago is still applicable today.
Lesley has been active in ministry most of her life. With a love for youth and children, she spent numerous years planning and
facilitating programs with the goal of capturing and discipling young hearts for the Lord. When she left “professional” ministry to
focus on her own family, it soon became apparent that more than a job, ministry was a calling. Since that time God has continued
to provide opportunities to use and share her gifts for ministry. Once asked what was the passion of her heart, the response is
evident in her teaching. Bringing God’s word to life, helping others to understand and apply its truths, encouraging others to know
a deep personal relationship with Jesus is the passion that motivates her heart.
Lesley is married and has four children ranging in ages 8 to 19. She holds degrees in Christian Education and Theology –
Christian Formation and Discipleship and is the Director of Women’s Ministries at Hillside Community Church in Alta Loma, CA.
Lesley enjoys and is grateful for opportunities to lead, nurture and encourage others on their life journey with Jesus.
If she ever finds a spare moment, she loves to read or seclude herself off with her ironing and a good movie.
