Old Goody Grisom always has a smile for everyone in the valley...except at Christmastime. But one Christmas, an angel appears to Goody, sending her on a journey to present offerings to the Christ child. However, Goody’s items provide just what’s needed for three mysterious strangers along the way (an upset young preacher, an infant with a fever, and a slave running for his freedom), leaving her without a gift for the Baby. But Goody learns a heartwarming and healing lesson that offers her with renewed hope and faith.

StageWorks! Theatre Company presents this 45-minute Appalachian folktale as they weave beloved Christmas carols throughout the story. The performance will fill audiences with wonder and joy as you enter this Advent/Christmas season.
