Cast: Maley family StageWorks!—Cast Biographies

Paul and Sharon Maley are graduates of the UCLA Theatre Arts Department. Following their marriage in 1987, they spent two years creating weekly sketches for a church in northern California. In 1990 Paul and Sharon joined Lamb’s Players Theatre as touring performers. They have performed in 15 touring productions together including "Acts of Love" and "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Jericho," which they now tour as personal projects through their own company, StageWorks!

Their travels have taken them as far as Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Minnesota, and North Carolina. Paul now serves as manager of Lamb’s Players Educational Outreach while Sharon works part time as a freelance teacher and director. In 2003, Paul and Sharon starred in the DVD adaptation of "Acts of Love," produced by Horizon Gate Productions under the title "Everybody Knows How to Spell LUV." Their all-time favorite “role,” however, is more than full-time: playing Mom and Dad to Ellen and Benjamin, ages 14 and 11.

Having been born into a theatrical family, Ellen and Ben have been marinated in creativity and imagination since day one. They were both students in Sharon's after school improvisation program through StageWorks! and have studied and performed with Christian Youth Theater in San Diego. Ellen is an avid runner, artist and pianist, enjoying behind-the-scenes work as much as being onstage. Ben, the family "Tigger," loves the limelight of performing but also enjoys reading and running. Ellen is a 9th grader while Ben is in 6th grade at the kitchen table (his teacher looks a lot like Mom).

Visit StageWorks! for touring shows and workshop information.
